NURTURE STATE
Florals & Decor
Nurture State Floristry is a floral design company founded in 2020 as a plant shop pop-up in San Francisco Bay Area. Since the pop-up days, owner Kathleen Reyes designed and created other art that revolved around the realm of plants and flowers: most notably her marble terra cotta pots, the Ciel Creative Space’s Rebirth Wall and Malaya Botanical’s Malaya Wall which debuted at the 2021 BottleRock Wine and Music Festival. She opened up the doors of opportunity to design events and weddings in the summer of 2021, and since then she grew a passion and talent for the transformative power of floral design.
Kathleen Reyes is a first generation immigrant from the Philippines. She was raised in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas with her family and two younger sisters and in 2018 moved to the San Francisco Bay area to pursue her nursing career in public health. As the pandemic hit, she took mental, spiritual and emotional refuge in the practice of nurturing plants, designing moss and floral art. Today she incorporates floristry into her life through leading workshops and executing small to large scale events. She intertwines the storylines of her clients into her floral design as her main source of inspiration, values deep connections and continues to serve purpose-driven projects in the community.
